The Halo Keypad smart lock from Kwikset is a straightforward device with a limited smart functions and a lackluster interface.
The elegant Kwikset Obsidian and one of the first Keypad-to-lock products, the Kwikset 99380-002 Halo Wi-Fi Smart Lock, were among the first smart locks produced by Kwikset in 2016.
Once you’ve connected your Kwikset app login to your smart home assistant’s app, you can manage the lock with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa even if Kwikset Halo Keypad doesn’t support HomeKit.
The lock may also be included in Google Alexa. It works effectively to lock and unlock using voice commands.
Both voice assistants demand a PIN in order to voice unlock by using Alexa device.
Despite the inconvenience, I appreciate the additional security measure.
It has smart key security capabilities that let consumers schedule a log of when their homes are locked and unlocked using user codes.
