The Halo Touch smart lock from Kwikset is an uncomplicated gadget with few smart features and a subpar user interface.
One of the earliest touch-to-lock products, the Kwikset 99380-002 Halo Wi-Fi Smart Lock, and the classy Kwikset Obsidian were two of the company’s first smart locks created in 2016.
Even though Kwikset Halo Touch doesn’t support HomeKit, after you’ve linked your Kwikset app login to your smart home assistant app, you can control the lock with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
Additionally, Google Alexa could support the lock. Utilizing voice commands to lock and unlock is successful.
Both voice assistants require the PIN in order to voice unlock. Despite the inconvenience, I like the extra security precaution. Smart key security is included.
Even though it’s time-consuming, I like having that extra layer of security.
